Half Life 3 Confirmed!

It's been a tumultuous few weeks in Half-Life 3 news. First, Valve dropped their three huge bombshell announcements, none of which turned out to be Half-Life 3 - they turned out to be the probably-even-more-exciting Steam Machinesinstead. Then, speculation began to ramp up that Half-Life 3 would be a Steam Machines exclusive, or at least a launch title for it (which I still think is at least possible). Then came the filing of a Half-Life 3 trademark - apparently official confirmation that HL3 was at least on Valve's radar. But guess what - turns out that registration was fake.
